Advanced Optics
Aspheric optics in IOLs align the light rays to compensate for positive corneal spherical aberration, resulting in improved image quality and increased contrast sensitivity in cataract surgery patients with astigmatism. CIMA foldable CIMflex series IOLs feature an enhanced aspheric optic that improves vision by correcting the positive spherical aberration present in the normal cornea. Our optimized optical surface is designed to reduce spherical aberration and provide excellent depth of field with minimal modulation transfer function (MTF) loss in case of decentration.
Innovative Design
In order to reduce Posterior Capsular Opacification (PCO), CIMflex IOLs also feature our 360 Square Edge for a continuous edge along the haptic-optic junction.

Injector Systems
CIMflex Injectors
The single use CIMflex Injector is designed for the safe, effective and precise delivery of all CIMflex series IOLs. Its unique plunger system uses the viscoelastic solution to help create a hydraulic effect during the injection process, allowing for a smooth and controlled delivery of the IOL through the cartridge while avoiding bubbles resulting in a clear field of vision during surgery.
The CIMflex Injector is loaded by inserting the back of the cartridge into the front of the injector in order to protect the cartridge tip. This is an improvement over previous delivery systems where the cartridge is loaded by inserting the cartridge tip into the injector first, risking damage to the most critical part of the delivery system.
